As we age, our bodies require regular exercise to keep muscles strong, joints limber and bones protected from bumps and falls. Movements that train these fitness areas also help individuals maintain greater balance and improve the quality of their lives.Liz Bradford is a fitness professional that specializes in training older adults. She is certified by the American Council on Exercise and has more than 30 years experience as a wellness educator. The programs she’s designed for seniors have received shining reviews from participants and are medically safe for older exercisers.


Better Balance & More Movement

Soft foam balls and resistance tubing are used to increase your range of motion, improve balance and function while being safely seated in a chair. Arm and leg lifts, graceful stretches and abdominal and back work are used to strengthen and stretch your body. This is a wonderful class for older adults who want to remain active and fit, while reducing the risk of falling.

Better Balance & More Movement is currently being offered on Mondays from 11:00 — 11:30 am to residents at Falmouth House at Oceanview and on Wednesdays from 10:00 — 10:30 to residents at The Woods at Canco.

Personal Training

Working under the guidance of an experienced fitness professional is a smart way to train. Liz will work with you and your medical professionals to evaluate your current fitness level, set realistic goals and develop a safe and effective way to stay strong, flexible and active. She is specialized in working with seniors and is currently training with a number of clients between the ages of 70 and 100 years old. Thirty minute sessions are $50 and worth every penny!
